Mag-Plate “FRONT” Installation Manual

Important: Please read these instructions carefully before attempting installation. The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for any damage to your vehicle, number plates, or the Mag-Plate system resulting from incorrect installation or use. Ensure your number plates and vehicle bumper are clean and dry before proceeding.

Tools Recommended (Not Included):

  • Clean microfiber cloths

  • Isopropyl alcohol or a similar automotive-safe cleaning solution

  • Measuring tape or ruler (optional, for precise placement)

Installation Steps:

Part 1: Attaching the Bumper Bracket(s) to Your Vehicle

  1. jack up your car

  2. following your Manufacturers guidelines, safely remove your front bumper and set on a safe surface / mount

  3. Identify Suitable internal Mounting Location: Determine the desired location for your MAGPLATE bracket on the internal of your vehicle's bumper. Ensure the area is relatively flat and has sufficient space behind it for the bracket without interfering with any internal components. For oversized or multiple plates, identify the appropriate corresponding locations.

  4. ensure your mounting location is in line with your desired number plate location.

  5. Clean the Bumper Surface (Inside): Thoroughly clean the inside surface of your bumper where the bracket will be attached. Use a clean microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol or a similar automotive-safe cleaning solution to remove any dirt, grease, or residue. Allow the surface to dry completely. This is crucial for proper adhesion of any adhesive.

  6. Prepare the internal Bracket: Examine the internal bracket. ensure that is clean and free of dirt and debris, use your desired adhesion (double sided tape, industrial adhesive Etc.)

  7. Attach the internal Bracket: once you are happy with the mounting location of the MAGPLATE using your desired adhesive firmly press your MAGPLATE bracket to the inside of your bumper

    • Adhesive Mounting (If Applicable): Carefully align the bumper bracket with your chosen location on the inside of the bumper. Press firmly across the entire surface of the bracket to ensure a strong bond. Apply even pressure for the recommended time specified of the adhesive.

  8. Allow Adhesive to Cure (If Applicable): If you used adhesive, allow the bracket to cure for the recommended time (typically 24-72 hours)

Part 2: Attaching the external Bracket to Your Number Plate

  1. Clean the Number Plate Surface (Back): Thoroughly clean the back surface of your number plate where the plate bracket will be attached. Use a clean microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol or a similar automotive-safe cleaning solution to remove any dirt, grease, or residue. Allow the surface to dry completely. This is crucial for proper adhesion.

  2. Prepare the Plate Bracket: Examine the external bracket. ensure that is clean and free of dirt and debris, use your desired adhesion (double sided tape, industrial adhesive Etc.)

  3. ensure your POLES are in Their correct orientation: as your MAGPLATE brackets both have NORTH AND SOUTH POLES (positive and negative magnetic poles) Ensure at this stage your brackets are in their correct orientation, to do this simply hold your MAGPLATE to the external of your bumper in direct Correlation to the Internal bracket, if your external plate is not attracted to the internal bracket, simply turn your external bracket over. the side attracted to the internal plate should remain free of any adhesives

  4. Attach the Plate Bracket(s): Carefully align the plate bracket on the back of your number plate in a position that will correspond with the bumper bracket when mounted on the vehicle. Ensure the brackets are positioned to provide a secure and level fit. Press firmly across the entire surface of the bracket to ensure a strong bond. Apply even pressure for the recommended time specified on the adhesive.

  5. Allow Adhesive to Cure: Allow the bracket to cure on the number plate for the recommended time (typically 24-72 hours) before attaching them to the vehicle. This ensures maximum bond strength.

Part 3: Attaching and Removing Your Number Plate(s)

  1. Attaching the Number Plate: Carefully align the plate bracket on the back of your number plate with the corresponding bumper bracket on your vehicle. The magnets will attract and securely hold the number plate in place. Ensure the plate is seated correctly and feels secure.

  2. Removing the Number Plate: To remove the number plate, firmly but gently pull the plate directly away from the bumper. The magnetic force will be overcome, and the plate will detach. Avoid twisting or excessive force, which could potentially damage the brackets or the bumper.

General Notes for All Mag-Plate Kits:

  • Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry for optimal adhesion.

  • Allow the adhesive to cure fully before subjecting the system to stress (e.g., driving).

  • The strength of the magnetic hold may vary depending on factors such as bumper material thickness and the size/weight of the number plate.

  • Regularly inspect the brackets and magnets for any signs of damage or wear.

  • Avoid exposing the magnets to extreme temperatures or impacts.

By following these detailed steps, you should be able to install your Mag-Plate system effectively. However, remember that these instructions are suggestions, and the manufacturer holds no responsibility for any issues arising from the installation process.
